The McGrath Family have a long history of service to the families of the North-West Coast of Tasmania in the fields of medicine, pharmacy and law.
For the past 100 years McGraths have been in practice as professionals in Burnie.
The current premises at 5 Cattley Street have operated as a law firm since 1952 brothers Frank and Jimmy McGrath commenced the firm of McGrath & McGrath.
In the early 1990’s Frank’s son Paul McGrath joined the firm which became McGrath & Co Lawyers. Following the death of Frank in 2000, Paul continued to operate the firm and is ably assisted by both legal practitioners and exercised law clerks and assistants.
McGrath & Co is proud of its connections to the North West Coast and its deeply Tasmanian roots but continues to embrace advances in both law and technology to ensure its clients are obtaining the best possible service and advice.
In 2013 McGrath & Co incorporated the firm of Crisp Hudson & Mann, another proudly Tasmanian firm with deep connections to the North West Coast. The histories of both McGrath & Co and Crisp Hudson commence as law firms in the early days of Burnie during the late 1800’s.
The firm is committed to keeping relevant and confronting digital changes and their effects on the modern legal environment.
