Jo-anne McGrath is an associate with the firm after joining the team in 2004.

Originally from far north Queensland, Jo-anne moved to Tasmania in 1994 to study law, experience multiple seasons and actually wear a coat!

Initially drawn to the grand idea of defending the unjustly accused by her imaginary heroes Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird) and Brian Bedford (Miracle on 24th Street), Jo-anne has turned her passion towards practicing in commercial law. Specialising in leases and licenses, sales and purchases of businesses, creation and management of trusts, partnerships and companies, shareholder agreements and disputes to name a few.

Jo-anne enjoys working on the North West Coast and is passionate about ensuring an outcome that not only serves her clients but satisfies all involved.

When not at work, Jo-anne can be found at home spending time with her family, obsessively watching Cricket, AFL and nearly every other sport, or watching a classic feel good Christmas movie.

Jo-anne is also a member of the Tasmanian Bar Association and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
